Rob Crandall - Guide

Rob Crandall and I have fly fished many lakes and rivers throughout the Northwest. His "specialty" is casting and swinging streamers for steelhead on the Deschutes river. There are no words that can properly describe that "fish on" moment. Just book a trip with Rob and see for yourself, he is a good as it gets!

Rob is also an excellent photographer, his photos reflect his genuine appreciation of the outdoors. If you are lucky, he might take a photo of you releasing a Deschutes redside or a native steelhead. Rob's photo of the "Deschutes Island" was selected by our company for the banner design of our website.

Rob provides three day guided float trips on the Deschutes River. You will enjoy fantastic scenery and fly fishing for trout and steelhead. At the end of the day, your gear is delivered to the camp and it is time to relax, and tell a few stories. Dinner and beverages are served by the light of the moon, and the sounds of the river. It just doesn't get any better than that!

  1. I agree Rob's as good as they get. I've been on 3-day Deschutes steelhead trips with him twice. It's amazing how he can put you on the fish, many times in places I wouldn't otherwise have fished. Last October, 6 of us fished with Rob and his guides in 3 drift boats on the Deschutes and we all caught fish, spey casting. He's also a poet and recites poems at the end of the trip. Rob is very patient with people and is always teaching. And he's good with the photos and the video. donl@csgpro.com
